Summary:
This paper analyzes how Fitts' law has been used and the results of subsequent research using Fitts' law or a modified form of it.
Comments:
I'm taking Embodiedment Interaction and seems like this model might fit in with this paradigm.
Research Ideas:
I would be interested to see if using 3D hand gestures could be analyzed using this model.
3D hand gestures would prove an interesting experiment. Perhaps users are more likely to perform a hand gesture more accurately if the overall size of the expected gesture is made smaller or larger. I'm not sure if this is something that Fitts' Law can analyze extensive but it could be an interesting problem.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of applying this model into 3D gesture is innovative. But the error threshold might be hard to define.
ReplyDelete3D hand gesture analysis do seem very innovative. However since the fitt's law models a line, I feel that it may not do so well. Finding the right model for 3D gestures might be a good research idea.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting view of Fitt's Law. The figure explains it all. Extending Fitt's law into space where movement takes place in 3D would be one interesting thing to look at.
